The Frist Center’s Summer Art Camp will be hiring eight summer art camp teaching assistants for five consecutive weeks (June 4-July 26) during the summer. Summer Art Camp sessions at the Frist Center are designed to encourage artistic expression, art appreciation, understanding and imagination for children ages 5 to 13.
The Teaching Assistant Program is designed to introduce participants to museum education by providing hands-on teaching experiences in a unique learning environment. The program provides students with an opportunity to gain firsthand experience teaching art to children as well as developing practical skills in classroom management, working as part of a team, and enhancing general professional development.
The application deadline for summer art camp teaching assistants is Monday, March 25, with interviews scheduled for April 1-5. For more information about the program, please go to this link: http://fristcenter.org/about/jobs/teaching-assistants.
