Film Theory and Visual Culture Seminar Features Andrea Mirabile

Andrea Mirabile, assistant professor of Italian, will present a paper taken from his current book manuscript, entitled Multimedia Archaeologies: D’Annunzio, Belle Epoque Paris, and the Total Artwork, on Friday, October 26, at noon at the Robert Penn Warren Center for the Humanities.

The Film Theory and Visual Culture Seminar aims to foster dialogue among faculty and graduate students across campus working in film, visual culture, art history, literature, and cultural studies, as well as anyone interested in theories of the image, philosophies of perception, aesthetics and critical theory, media histories, and the history of vision. Seminar coordinators are Jennifer Ely (film studies and English), James McFarland (German), and Paul Young (film studies and English).
