Frist Center Offers Internships, Teaching Assistant Positions for 2013

The Frist Center internship program is designed to introduce participants to specific areas of the museum profession. Internships are offered during the school year, coinciding with the fall semester, spring semester, and summer break, in the following departments/areas within the Frist Center: marketing/public relations/community relations, development/membership, general education, outreach, curatorial, design, retail, and technology. The Frist teaching assistant program is designed to introduce participants to museum education by providing hands-on teaching experiences in a unique learning environment. Teaching assistants will gain a valuable understanding of youth and family programs and school and teacher programs within the education department by researching upcoming exhibitions, developing related lessons and activities, teaching programs, and working closely with Frist Center educators.
