Visit the Artnet.com Research Database

The Vanderbilt Heard Library subscribes to Artnet, the most comprehensive fully-illustrated archive of auction results worldwide, representing more than 500 international auction houses since 1985. The database contains more than five million artworks by more than 200,000 artists, ranging from Old Masters to contemporary art. It covers a full range of media, including paintings, drawings, sculpture, watercolors, prints, photography and works on paper as well as twentieth-century design.

The user can also sign up for the Artnet newsletter, which contains news and features on artists, galleries, auctions, fairs, and other significant events from the international art market.
